Hi, I’m Jim Warden and I am “The Fitness Warden” (TFW)! I help those who want to transform the way they think about personal health and fitness. I started TFW in 2007 to share my knowledge and experience in fitness and personal training to help men and women alike with the various aspects of training one’s body and mind to do something that it does not always want to do. The primary focus of this site is to connect the dots of mental, physical and spiritual toughness.

TFW was born out of my desire to help people set and achieve their personal fitness goals. I believe that fitness is not only physical but mental and spiritual as well.

I started TFW as a totally FREE service that I provided through my church and quickly realized that this was my passion or purpose in life. I needed to leave behind the corporate J-O-B and truly help people rather than sit behind a desk and be miserable for the rest of my working years.

I have spent many years serving as a group fitness instructor and personal trainer helping others identify and reach their goals. I bring my own understanding in the challenges of beginning a fitness program as I went through a personal transformation in 2003 myself. I found myself out of shape and overweight at the age of 37 and with my family medical history that was a recipe for disaster. That year I began running and lifting weights and started to see improvements in my overall health and mental well being. It took about two years but I figured out what it takes to get into the best shape of my life! I lost 40 pounds (10 pounds too much) and have managed to keep 30 of it off!
